The Academy of Art University’s School of Fashion presented its 2024 graduation runway show, titled “Uncharted Territories,” on May 16 in San Francisco. The show featured collections from thirteen graduating students and honored renowned British designer Matty Bovan with an honorary doctorate for his contributions to the fashion industry. Bovan, known for his work with major labels such as Marc Jacobs and Miu Miu, was recognized by university president Elisa Stephens during the event. The students developed their collections with mentorship from the Fashion Industry Advisory Board, including professionals from Tory Burch, Calvin Klein, and Arts Thread.
